David Andrews (DVA) replies to Simon Erlands Lies

As regular readers of this forum will know my posts here are generally temperate in tone and I try my best to be helpful, I have as yet not been involved in any spats and try to be polite, however...

I’ve been advised that a certain party has been making postings containing blatant lies about my dealings with customers and their engines.

That cannot be allowed to continue on a public forum.

Those of us experienced in the ways of this miscreant have seen it all before, but casual readers of the thread or those who turn up the postings on a search engine may be misled. To be honest my patience with this proven liar and fantasist is wearing thin.

First I am putting the record straight.

From KingKs previous posting on this thread.

”I knew one guy who spent a fortune on a 1.9 dva built scholar, which blew 4 times before he got fed up and went honda. dva started by going into the water jackets on a brand new £1350 Vulcan casting, poor guy had to ship the lump back from OZ each time it went.

speaks for itself really”

Speaks for itself? It might do if any of it were true, however once again as with many of KingK’s postings, none of it is. It is a complete fabrication.

However the true facts in the words of the owner do speak for themselves. At no time was the engine I built returned here because of any problem caused by or as a result of work done by me. At no time was any work done by me responsible for any breach into the waterjacket on the customers cylinder head.

I contacted the owner over the weekend to ask where these lies may have started and he sent me this response.

“Hi Dave,
I think that the information that you are getting is somewhat distorted and I'm uncertain about the source and I can't comment upon people who spread gossip that is not true. Local people know that the problems that I experienced were as a result of the local person who was doing my Lotus work and his incompetence. Eventually, I arranged that a motor trade inspector meet with me and the provider, and as a result there was an undertaking to repay me a small percentage of my costs. Predictably, that never happened and the provider went out of business leaving me seriously out of pocket. After the HMI insert came loose it was all too much and I replaced the Rover engine with a Honda. dMy work is now done by someone else who is competent, reliable, and correct and I have an excellent on going relationship with him and his company.

Someone in England asked me for details of my engine and its blow ups and I refused to supply information. Eventually I asked that person to stop contacting me for further information.

I hope that this clarifies the situation and am sorry if you feel that you have suffered but I cannot be responsible if people spread rumours that are not based upon fact. I feel that you treated me absolutely fairly despite a hiccup and I have no complaint about your service or your workmanship. I am happy to confirm this to anyone who contacts me directly.
Regards
Syd

Now that does speak for itself

No prizes for working out who it was who contacted him from England.

The facts about this engine are fully supported by communications between the owner and myself. The owner has invited interested parties to contact him and confirm the facts.

There are other lies present in KingKs series of postings which I intend to post on later when I have statements from the parties involved. KingKs primary motive in posting here is to try to discredit.

KingK your post about this engine has been shown to be a complete fabrication.

Do not repeat these lies again either verbally or in any posting on any forum. You have now had fair warning. I will not be taking this lying down as I have before.

Since this posting is a proven lie I will firstly invite you or the moderators to remove the comment(s).
