It seems the Honda Exige Sinclairs car, driven by Walshy, had to start the season without its wonder engine. Apparently the crated engine turned up from the states but failed on the dyno.
The story goes that it failed virtually immediately, making some dreadful noises. A quick strip down showed material in the bores that looked very much like valve seats. Ooops.
So the car eventually ran with a stock engine and put in a creditable performance until a front splitter problem put them out of the race.
