After logging more than 350 miles and several hours of driving on wet roads in Scotland,
Road & Track Magazine has published their review of the Evora. Like every review of the Evora so far, Road & Track cannot fault the Evora’s seemingly peerless driving dynamics. Road & Track does find fault however with the controls of the Alpine navigation/stereo system. In fact, they’re the first media outlet to present this criticism. Quote:
The interior is tight yet comfortable. Leather surfaces on the dash and seats provide a luxurious air, and the controls are easy to use, except for those on the Alpine navigation/stereo system, which seems out of place here.
In agreement with Pistonheads, this review also mentions the exhaust note as leaving something to be desired. Click here to read the full review from Road & Track Magazine. Produced by Lotus, here is a promotional video illustrating the worldwide development process of the Evora as Project Eagle. The video starts off with a clip of cold weather testing in the city of Arjeplog, located in northern Sweden. Then we see the Evora’s handling being fine-tuned by Matt Becker on a skidpad at the MIRA automotive development facility in Warwickshire in the UK. The prototype then curves its way through the Stelvio Pass in Italy, races on the famous Nürburgring in Germany, and finally makes its official debut at the 2008 London Motor Show.
