The cascades plot below shows an NA honda on the right against the SW Lotus conversion (with the best stock PG1, the Lotus CRbox) on the left, speed along the x axis and torque at the wheels along the y axis:
The Honda is a typical "Link-up" NA conversion at 222bhp and 156lbft (measured at Emerald I think) and I took the power data for the 2.3 Duratec from SW Lotus' website plot - 205bhp and 196lbt.
These are base conversions and of course both can be improved.
As you can see the Honda is better in each gear, other than 1st and 5th where they are much the same. It is also better across the speed range in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. The Honda also has the bonus of 6th.
So I find it unlikely that a 2.3 Duractec has an NA Honda for breakfast, not even for a small snack!! Assuming similar car weights, suspension, tyres, wheel diameters and driver skill.
Fit the Quaife 4.4 final drive to the CR box and it will be much the same but will still be going hungry:
Really you need the Quiafe UCR gear kit (I've put in the CR box 5th so the car can still be used for high speed stuff) with a 4.2 final drive to make it likely that you'll really will have a Honda NA for breakfast and that's only in 3rd and 4th:
