Arrow rods, and a steel crank (Farndon I think).....special combination as the stock Rover 1.4 cranks use a small big end journal size and there are no decent bearings available. So this crank (and a few others) were made with BDA sized big end journals, for which there are decent VP bearings available.

It uses the standard head gasket, and the liners are one-offs for this engine (and its five brothers) that have a "top hat" effect on the liner top such that each fire ring sits around the inner part of the liner. The liner then shrouds the edge of the fire ring.

Some more pics of the manifold, now finished. Downpipe (with flexi) also done, just the 100 cel cat and a back box to finish. Exhaust is 3" after the join from the turbo and wastegaste. Neil at Thermallogic knows what he's doing, uses argon to stop spikes inside the tubes which aren't good for flow.

I could have had it all made in inconel but the weight savings weren't worth the expense (never thought I'd type that!).
