Steve Butts 1.4 k-series compound charger update

I've collected the parts required to plumb the oil and water into the turbo and it and the engine/manifold are with a mate who can fab the turbo support brackets and make up the oil feed and drain to/from the turbo. Hopefully he will be able to do that for me next week.

Being a weight obsessive I weighed the turbo and manifold and they are 12.5kg, and the rest of the system is 10.5kg, so 23kg for the complete exhaust system inc the turbo. The manifold, SCRP and silencer I removed are 19kg, so only 4kg of extra weight for the turbo and exhaust system.

I've decided to reduce weight some more with the charge cooler and intercooler. I was planning on running an intercooler from between the turbo and SC and then a chargecooler between the SC and engine. I already have the intercooler that's used in many of the Audi conversions - originally designed by AutoTeknix. This fits very nicely ahead of the wheel arch in the rear clam, and I will fit mine there but first it will be converted into a charge cooler, and it will be used between the SC and engine. That should save me 5kg compared to using both the charge cooler and intercooler.

I'm guessing the chargecooler will add around 10-15kg of weight when you include the front rad, connecting pipes, pump and fluid.
