As Tesla degenerate into corp-speak and marketing bullshit rather than concentrate on producing decent cars they now seem to want to claim that the Tesla is not basically a lotus elise.

- Lotus produce a rolling shell which tesla then drop their battery into
- Its an elise interior and dash
Differences are different body panels, a longer sub frame and new (lotus) suspension setup to cope with the extra weight in the back (now if they are admitting its heavier in the back than an S2 then I have to say thats going to make an impact on the handling).
If these obvious changes are enough to claim its not an elise variant then you would be left in the stupid position of claiming that the exiges, 340r, 2-11, VX etc etc are not elises. Even the Europa is an elise. Get over it. Get back to producing a proper 2 speed transmission that actually works instead of more marketing BS.
